PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week: HSY and Adnan Pardesy

Okay, I’m breaking protocol today and will be posting TWICE today. Yup, twice! The reason is simply because I couldn’t decide what to post today and waiting for tomorrow just seemed way too far. I might also be posting these because I want to cover all the designers before the end of this week – but shhh!

Both of the posts are picture heavy and hopefully inspirational for all you brides-to-be!

HSY:

The colour is so vibrant and rich

I’m not a fan of the colour combination but the orange on its own is lovely

The neckline and sleeves are so unique!

I.LOVE.This.

I can’t decide what I think of the middle outfit – it seems a bit much. On the other hand, the yellow chooridar totally stole my attention!

And now, it’s time to drool over the most stunning outfit by Adnan Pardesy! This was their first bridal show – although the collection was weak, I loved the below piece. It was unique, elaborate and simply exquisite.

Beautiful

Stay tuned for my second post in the afternoon!

Friday’s Feature: The Grand Couturiers at Bridal Couture Week 2012

Bridal Couture Week’s finale ended with a big bang: 14 of the most renowned designers came together to put on a show-stopping performance.

Amir Adnan - I love this silhouette... on a girl!

Bunto Kazmi. My favourite designer... and this is one of my all time favourite outfits/combinations by her. I've seen it on many brides but I always love it

Deepak Perwani

HSY

Maheen Khan - My least favourite piece of the bunch

Mehdi

Neelo Allawala

Nilofer Shahid - I like velvet but I'm not sure if any bride would want it around her chest. Can't imagine how much sweating would go on under that heavy fabric!

Nomi Ansari

Rizwan Beyg - I heart this!

Sana Safinaz - gawjus. I really like the pretty pink

Shamaeel Ansari

Kamiar Rokni

Umar Sayeed

Considering the number of high-end designers that teamed up for this finale, I expected more. I do love some of the pieces that I saw at BCW though – YEAY to fashion!

Hope you have a great weekend!

PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week: Day One

L’Oreal Paris and the Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) have teamed up to showcase Pakistani Bridal fashion and jewellery. This is the first time in the history of Pakistani fashion where Bridal Designers, Jewellery Makers and Stylists are coming together on the same runway.

Day 1 showcased collections by HSY, Sonia Azher and Nabila’s.

I know you don’t want me to keep blabbering – because you know I can – so without further ado, enjoy the pictures!

HSY – Game of Kings

HSY’s collection was inspired by the game of Polo. I don’t get it.
Love the black and gold collection – I definitely want to see more brides wear black! What’s with the head gear though?!

Bold - love it

I really like the concept of the top half

Sonia Azher – Englightenment

Inspired by creating a Zen look – she used soft colours such as light pink and beige. I like the collection – it’s safe and pretty!

Nabila – Gold to Bold

The concept is to “shed your cloaks of tradition and embrace your modern self.” I really like some of the pieces!

Umm.. is that a tail sticking out of the back?!

Love it!

What do you think?
